On-site cleaning steps of the heat exchange unit: 1. Drain the liquid in the inlet and outlet on both sides of the heat exchange unit. 2. Use warm water of about 43℃ to flush from both sides of the heat exchange unit until the outflowing water becomes clear and contains no process fluid. 3.

Drain the flushing water out of the heat exchange unit and connect it to the local cleaning pump. 4. To clean thoroughly, the in-situ cleaning solution must flow from the bottom to the top of the plate to ensure that all the plate surfaces of the heat exchange unit are wetted with the cleaning solution. 5. After cleaning with spot cleaning solution, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

The mechanical cleaning method of the heat exchange unit generally adopts water spray cleaning. This method is suitable for the carbon compound scale layer that cannot be removed by chemical cleaning. Its advantage is that the wear rate of the equipment is low, and the disadvantage is that the heat exchange unit must be disassembled. In addition to water spray cleaning, sometimes the plates are manually washed with a brush to achieve the purpose of removing dirt on the surface of the plates. This method is not easy to clean the harder and thicker scale layer.

The choice of dryer heat exchanger for spray cleaning is very important, and the usual pressure is 50~70MPa. If the pressure is too low, the cleaning effect is not good, and the pressure is too high may damage the heat exchange unit. Therefore, pre-tests should be carried out before operation, and the operation should be performed after gaining experience. It is worth noting that, for stainless steel heat exchange units, the chloride ion content in the water should be controlled during water spray cleaning.
